Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Real-time updates includes text commentary of Sunday's games via various channels, starting with the Broncos-Jets clash in London (from 14:00 BST). Additionally, audio coverage is available through select stations for a separate game (beginning at 9 PM BST).

We're in the sixth week of the football calendar , following last week's talk regarding the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles as a potential Super Bowl match-up, they both surrendered their unbeaten records.

Notable during those contests were the number of infractions each committed. Philadelphia committed them at crucial times so they kind of defeated themselves having led by two touchdowns going into the fourth period versus Denver, who play in London this weekend.

But it was good to see how Denver's QB Bo Nix managed to overcome the shortfall and then lead three scoring drives in three attempts during the final period, to win the game 21-17.

The Broncos have the defensive player of the year in CB Pat Surtain II. They rank first in goal-line defense, whereas Philadelphia lead the league in scoring near the end zone, and the Broncos prevailed in that battle.

They had the Eagles' number in terms of simulated pressure. They weren't necessarily sending more than four pass rushers instead they might plug two LBs in the 'A' gap before drop them out and send a nickel off the edge.

Early on of the season, we said during a show how the Broncos could be this season's surprise contenders. They ended last season well then excelled of building upon that.

Are the Denver Broncos this season's dark horses?

Recently acquired TE their tight end has excelled big while recent RB JK Dobbins is a player they believe in. He now ranks fifth in the NFL in ground gains (over 400) as well as tied for fourth in rushing scores (4).

It's impressive how the coach Sean Payton has "RUSH!" at the top of his playcall sheet.

This demonstrates how the Broncos are a team that wants to run first, since you can achieve much based on that approach. It slows down the pass rush while keeps you in favourable down and distances.

This has helped QB Bo Nix, who came into the league as a first-round selection in the prior draft, throwing 29 TDs – second only to a star QB in rookie records (31 back in 2020).

Josh Allen and Herbert have the arm strength to pass all over, but they don't move in the same way that Nix has. He has exceptional passing ability, a unique trait, and he's highly agile.

His assets are his mobility, the capacity to pass while moving, as well as finding different arm angles to deliver throws as he moves outside protection, on rollouts. He can throw precision throws across the middle and over the corner.

For a young quarterback, aged 25, he displays a lot of poise in the pocket and is not bothered by the blitz. He tries to avoid being tackled as much as possible and is able pass under pressure. He has sharp intelligence and is very decisive.

If you constantly rush it consumes the clock and makes the opponent to stay in play extended periods, and if you've got an athletic quarterback the defense has to cover the field downfield side to side. This proves exhausting.

Nix has bitten back with the coach during games at times and it seems Payton appreciates that fire, that he's a fierce rival. I think it's fun for the coach to coach a rookie QB that is kind of like moldable clay. He can truly develop him the way he wants to build it. I think it's a special experience for the coach.

Payton has won a Super Bowl and has passed Bill Parcells for career NFL wins (173 - tied 14th overall). He has witnessed everything. In my opinion the success the Broncos are having on offence is largely due to his leadership, his schemes, his game sense – and the combination with the QB helps shape him what he is.

There's no better a better guy guiding you, to assist you through difficult moments and build confidence.

I believe in the Broncos' defense, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. But are they good enough to go against an elite team at its best? Because that wasn't a Super Bowl performance by the Eagles last Sunday.

Currently, it's unlikely the Broncos are incredible. They're performing above average, which is a solid position to be in their division. The key is to continue this trajectory.

They excel at embracing their strength, that is running the ball, and this is precisely what they must do versus the New York Jets in London. It will likely be the JK Dobbins show, in essence.

New York have surrendered 140 rushing yards per game (sixth worst), five ground scores so far (in the bottom ten), and they are the sole squad yet to win a game.

Since the NFL started recording turnovers in 1933, the Jets are the first team to go without any turnovers in five outings, this is kind of shocking considering that their new coach Aaron Glenn a defensive coach at the Detroit Lions.

Patrick Mahomes says the Chiefs are off to a poor start after a recent loss by the Jaguars.

Following this Sunday's game, Denver face a smooth-ish schedule until their break (in week 12) - the Giants, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans and the Raiders before the Chiefs.

In their division, Kansas City are 2-3 and the Broncos are even with the Los Angeles Chargers at 3-2 so they could challenge at leading the division.

This hinges upon which form Kansas City shows up they face because Denver {beat|def
