'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League homecoming

Kane marks his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in coming back to the Premier League has diminished and he is open to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is currently midway through the four-year contract he agreed to when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the transfer window of 2023.

The veteran forward has scored an remarkable 103 goals in 106 games for the German club, playing a key role in them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which was the first significant trophy of his illustrious career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has recently expressed that he would be pleased to see Kane go back to England, where he needs 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England captain has now suggested that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he once was, and would definitely consider prolonging his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so goes and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different moments happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top marksman for both Tottenham and England and lately became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five leagues, reaching the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy drought, but now believes it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
