English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the upcoming Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

These three athletes have been celebrated for their remarkable achievements over the past 12 months.

Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the first time, and Perrin rose to fame with a record-breaking innings.

Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his remarkable rise.

The shortlisted athletes were revealed during a live broadcast on a widely-listened-to radio show.

The champion will be revealed live on the Sports Personality of the Year show on December 18th.

The event will be broadcast from 7 PM GMT.

The Football Star

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Just three months after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to European Championship victory.

She was introduced as a substitute to score key tying goals in both the knockout stage games.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.

Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the top young European talent.

She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.

Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.

"Being nominated for this award is incredible," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."

Littler's Profile

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler kicked off the year in spectacular fashion as - at just 17 years old - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.

He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.

He didn't stop there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the very first time.

At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, breaking the previous record.

"Earning a spot on the shortlist for this award again is a big honour," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a special memory for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."

The Cricket Sensation

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and rose to fame with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.

Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.

It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.

Perrin ended up as runner-up in the run-scoring charts and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.

"I'm deeply humbled to be shortlisted for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it inspires more young women to get into cricket."
